Yar'Adua meets top US officials
Abuja, Nigeria - Nigeria's President Umaru Yar'Adua Monday met two top US State Department officials in the capital city of Abuja, with the meeting focusing on bilateral relations between their two nations and America's interest in regional peace and security
US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte and the US Assistant Secretary of State Jendayi Frazer are in Nigeria as part of a four-nation West African tour.
Negroponte told journalists after the meeting that other issues discussed included Nigeria's role in international peace keeping operations; Yar"Adua administration's reform programme and how the U.S. Could assist in its implementation.
