Urbanisation Without Facilities Worries Yar'Adua

President Umaru Yar’Adua has expressed concern over the rate of emergence of cities in the country without corresponding infrastructure.

Yar’Adua said the urban population exp1osion demanded urgent attention in the provision of such faci1ities as housing and portable water.

The President was represented by Mrs Ha1ima A1ao, the Minister of Environment, Housing and Urban Development, at the second International Conference on Emerging Urban Africa.
