Etteh- Why Yar'Adua Is Adamant
Amidst persistent calls for President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua to intervene in the lingering crisis in the House of Representatives, sources close to Yar'Adua have confided in LEADERSHIP Sunday reasons why the nation's leader remains adamant in not wading into the debacle.
He said Yar'Adua has avowed not to interfere with either the judiciary or the legislature the way former President Olusegun Obasanjo did. "The president has told his close aides that he was committed to the tenets of the rule of law and will not be brash in his role as the nation's leader", the source said.
