NIGERIA: Police evacuate 4,000 members of Islamic sect in raid on compound

Nigerian police have evacuated some 4,000 members of an Islamic sect from their compound in a bid to "forestall any religious crisis", police sources told AFP. The raid comes after a July uprising by another sect, Boko Haram, left 800 dead.
