GNU: ANPP Leaders Protest to Yar' Adua
The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) has made its grievances known to President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua over the insignificant positions offered it in the proposed Government of National Unity (GNU).
The ANPP leaders led by its National Chairman, Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke, on a visit to the President at the Aso Rock Villa on Tuesday, complained that the party had fulfilled it own side of the bargain, while the President and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had reneged on the execution of the arrangement.
The President however pleaded for more time, saying he needed more time to executive the plans.
The ANPP hierarchy had signed an agreement to work with the Federal Government last June, in the spirit of the GNU.
